Beginning from the outskirts of Egypt, from the towns that harvested our stories, from the homes that shaped our features, and from the individuals that raised generations before us, EMZ Maison brings a collective effort of natural, genuinely handcrafted home accessories. Our products are created with the textured hands of families in Upper Egypt, Western dessert, Aswan and Sinai through local aspiring designers, to your destination home abroad.
Our name, EMZ Maison, is derived from our founder, Eman El-Sherif, with the term ‘maison’ encompassing our deepest definitions of home: the genuine hands crafting the delivered unique piece the comfort of stepping onto a fabric as one crosses the threshold, the shading of the sun looking in through the curtains, and the warmth of newly-washed bed sheets hugging the mattress.

Our mission is grounded in two cornerstones :
Sustainability
We aim to provide a fully-operating value chain, sustaining stable jobs to multiple families in Upper Egypt. In addition, we use organically-sourced materials, such as (Linen/ cotton/ Clay/ Natural Palm Ratan).
Collectivism
We hire freshly-graduated local designers as a means of providing them with a stepping stone into hands-on industry work. With the hands of our makers, the creativity of our designers, and the management of our founder, we create a self-sustaining, collective organization.
About the founder
Eman Saad El-Sherif graduated from Mass communication and Art from the American University in Cairo in 2005 and mastered with Innovation and Entrepreneurship from the German University in Cairo in 2020. Ever since she has been involved in local community services work in parallel to multinational organizations. Through her journey, her passion to enhance the Egyptian product as a fully sustained value chain has deeply grown within most of the Egyptian villages. EMAN established “EMZ MAISON” to be the hub for the Egyptian natural and organic products after training the young entrepreneurs all over the Egyptian villages to end up with the finest piece in each industry separately.
